Kristjan Jarvan
Deputy Mayor of Transport,
City of Tallinn
Kristjan Järvan has been the Deputy Mayor for Transport in Tallinn since 2024. Before that he was the minister of Entrepreneurship and IT in Estonia. He has been a strong advocate for market economy both in governmental and municipal policies. This has often triggered the debate on the economic feasibility of green deal policy initiatives. While finishing his master’s degree in Tartu University, balance between economic reasoning and the green deal policy was also a subject of his final paper.
