Jan studied molecular science at Wageningen University & Research. Since 2007, he has held various management positions at the RDW (the Netherlands Vehicle Authority), including program manager, manager of IT projects, manager of front office and manager of vehicle registration. As of March 2022, Jan is the head of a new toll department at RDW. He is 54 years old and lives with his wife and two children in Assen, in the Northern part of the Netherlands. In his free time, Jan likes cycling through the Dutch countryside and playing tennis.
