The contract, effective from March 2024 through the end of 2027, encompasses several key responsibilities, including management of automated complaints based on video surveillance; provision of general services to citizens; ongoing development and maintenance (corrective, evolutionary, and predictive) of the systems; and support tasks for provincial traffic headquarters and central services.

The DGT operates more than 400 pieces of hardware across Spain’s road network, including speed measurement equipment and video cameras. Maintenance of this hardware will be handled by the joint venture.

To date, the system has processed more than three million fines automatically, underscoring its effectiveness in monitoring and enforcing traffic regulations.
